Minimum Case Requirements
Ensure your case meets DentalTwin’s requirements for smooth AI processing.
Core Requirements for All Cases
- Intraoral or Model Scan – Must be complete and in one of the supported formats: STL, PLY, or OBJ.
- Full Jaw Coverage – Scan the jaw entirely, up to the tuberosities.
- Proper Bite Registration – Ensure scans are taken in correct occlusion for accurate AI alignment.
- File Upload – Upload individual scan files directly; ZIP archives are not supported for case creation.
Additional Rules for Full Arch Cases
- At least 2 remaining teeth per jaw (before extraction) are required.
- These teeth can be prepared or extracted after the scan but must be present in the scan for AI reference.
Clinical Considerations
- Avoid incomplete or faulty scans — these may lead to inaccurate results or case rejection.
- For immediate implantation or temporization cases, scans should be taken before extraction or surgery.
Why These Requirements Matter
Meeting these minimum standards ensures:
- The AI can correctly detect anatomical landmarks.
- Accurate reconstruction of missing teeth and occlusion.
- Reduced need for recalculations and manual corrections.
