How to Order DentaBRIDGE

Follow these steps inside the DentalTwin portal:

Step 1: Start a New Case

  1. Log in to portal.dentaltwin.com
  2. Click Create Case
  3. Select Restorative Designs (crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, and onlays)

This opens the case form directly.

Step 2: Enter Case Information

Case ID

Enter your internal reference number for tracking.

Step 3: Upload Scans

Upload:

  • Upper Jaw scan (required)
  • Lower Jaw scan (required)

Supported formats: STL, PLY, OBJ (max. 100MB per file)

Drag and drop files into the upload areas.

Step 4: Select Material

Choose your restoration material (e.g., Zirconia).

Material selection influences design parameters.

Step 5: Define Manufacturing Parameters

Adjust the sliders according to your lab preferences:

  • Cement gap
  • Start cement gap
  • Border thickness
  • Minimum thickness
  • Milling head diameter
  • Distance to antagonist
  • Distance to neighbor
  • Gingival Contact Strength

These settings ensure the design matches your production workflow.

Step 6: Select Manufacturing Method

Choose Milling or Printing. The AI will optimize the design accordingly.

Step 7: Mark the Teeth

On the right side of the screen:

  1. Select your tooth numbering system: FDI, Universal Numbering System, or Palmer notation.
  2. Select the type for each tooth involved:
    • Preparation
    • Pontic
    • Veneer
    • Inlay
    • Onlay
  3. Click the teeth involved in the restoration and assign the correct type to each.

Connection rules:

  • Preparation and Pontic can be connected to each other, to form a bridge.
  • Veneer can only be connected to adjacent veneers. Veneers cannot be connected to Preparation, Pontic, Inlay, or Onlay.
  • Inlay cannot be connected to any other tooth.
  • Onlay can be connected to Preparation and Pontic, where applicable.

The visual model will show connected units. The total case cost, in units, updates automatically.

Step 8: Add Additional Comments (Optional)

Include occlusal preferences, connector strength requirements, or any special instructions.

Step 9: Submit the Case

Click Send. Your case will now be processed by the AI, reviewed by a qualified dental technician, and released once approved.

After Submission

Once approved, you can preview your design, download your STL file(s), and use them for milling or printing.

Unlocking and Downloading Your Files

  1. Go to My Cases.
  2. Check that your case status shows Approved.
  3. Click Unlock. If you have no remaining allowance and no payment method on file, you will be prompted to add one before continuing.
  4. Once unlocked, download your STL files.

Everything is charged at the moment of unlocking, whether it is covered by your subscription allowance or billed pay as you go. There is no separate billing step afterward.

Important Notes

  • You are only charged, or a unit is only deducted, when you unlock and download a case. Previewing a design does not cost anything.
  • You can submit and process cases before deciding whether to unlock them.

Tips for Best Results

  • Ensure clean preparation margins in your scan.
  • Avoid scan holes or mesh artifacts.
  • Confirm correct tooth marking before submission.
  • Match milling head diameter to your real machine setup.
